Back to the Future is one of those films – one of those franchises – just about everyone loves. The DeLorean, Marty McFly and hoverboards are all part of our lexicon thanks to those three films, and although there were some early attempts at Doc-inspired video games, you'd have to be crazy to decide in this day and age that you're going to develop a game based on something so beloved. Well, Telltale Games is that crazy, and after playing through the first episode of the Back to the Future game, I'm happy that the folks over there are.

Back to the Future is a point and click adventure game picking up a few months after the third film. You play as Marty McFly and start dealing with the fact that your best friend -- Doctor Emmett Brown -- is gone after climbing into his time train and sailing off at the end of the third flick with his family.

OS: XP / Vista / Windows 7
Processor: 1.8 GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Video Card: ATI or NVidia card w/ 256 MB RAM
Direct X: Direct X 9.0c
Audio card required

Recommended Specs
OS: XP / Vista / Windows 7
Processor: 2.0 GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent
Memory: 3 GB RAM
Video Card: ATI or NVidia card w/ 512 MB RAM
Direct X: Direct X 9.0c

Mac:

OS: Snow Leopard

Problem #1: Encounter black screen when playing Back to the Future The Game PC in full screen mode and now is unable to change the settings

Possible Solution #1:

For Windows XP users, press ALT+Enter to switch the game into windowed mode

Problem #2: Back to the Future The Game PC crashes / keeps crashing after launch / at startup

Possible Solution #1:

For Mac users:

Option Click the unzipped app, and select “Show Package contents”
rename 2 files and 1 directory to have a lower case k
/Frameworks/QtWebkit.framework

/Frameworks/QtWebkit.framework/Versions/4/QtWebkit

Problem #3: Back to the Future The Game PC crashes after clicking play or new game / freeze right after launch

Possible Solution #1:

For Mac users, some gamers claim that removing all the spaces in the file name of the the game has stopped their crashing issue

Problem #4: Launching Back to the Future The Game PC causes the game to reboot the computer / PC keeps rebooting when trying to play BTTF

Possible Solution #1:

Disable your anti-virus softwares

Disable all background applications

Play the game while disconnected from the net

Problem #5: Back to the Future The Game encounters crash / crashes when trying to play the game in full screen

Change your display color depth to 32-bit

Problem #6: Back to the Future The Game has stopped working / crashes shortly after clicking new game

Possible Solution #1:

Lower the shadow details in the graphics settings
